Fore 4.1
Test Version
Fore 4.1 is a simulation program designed to model the result of overbooking the daily schedule for a golf course. The overbooking is an offset to the no show rate. If 10% of the scheduled foursomes fail to show, then a 10% overbooking would compensate. However, the no show rate is a random event. Hence, the simulation modeling
is also a random event designed to replicate what will happen if certain scheduling features are modified.
Try it out. As you view results, continue to click the run simulation button. Each simulation represents a possible daily run with the features selected. Be sure to compare the average wait per golfer for each of the features shown. If the average changes very little from hourly to not at all, and the number of golfers scheduled increases by 20, then the revenue per day is significantly increased.
The full blown version will also allow for modeling the impact of not allowing slow golfers in the 6-8AM time slot, not allowing slow golfers in the 6-10AM time slot, and allowing 3 slow groups at 9AM.
